As we’re sure you know by now, the October 2018 Vilamoura tournament will be held at Browns Club, Vilamoura, on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October.
Those opting/selected to play will have heard from their respective captains by now, so please liaise with your captain for more information.
We will update this post with extra information as we get it (schedule/format etc), but for now the rules have been released by Browns and can be viewed and downloaded by clicking here. If you are unable to open the pdf, please send us an email and we can forward them to you by email.
The main difference between the rules for Browns and our own EAWF rules is that there is no height restriction. You are encouraged to read and digest the contents prior to the tournament……
We now also have the tournament groups and match schedule for the first day:
The full schedule for all days for the over 50s can be downloaded by clicking here, and for the over 60s by clicking here. As always, if you have any problems downloading the files just send us an email.

I will be in Vilamoura at this time
I would like to participate in this event if you can keep me in mind when selecting players
Just for your info, I will be in Olhao tomorow for 3 months, I usually play at Olhao and Tavira when I’m down, played last year in DJ’s team in the Browns tournament. If you are struggling for players I will be about.
There does not appear to be anything in the tournament rules about what happens when the ball goes into touch, i.e. kick-ins/ roll-ins or corners? Can a goal be scored direct from a corner?
The rules are actually provided by Browns Club (not us) for Vilamoura. I know they use kick-ins to bring the ball back into play, and I assume you can score from a corner as in normal football. Something to ask the refs on the day I think?
