The East Algarve Walking Football/East Algarve Football Club are rightly proud of our charity work. During the current lockdown we have been supporting individuals and supplying food to as many requests for help that we can.

At the current time the funds are limited due to the club not operating, but we are still thinking of ways in which we can help. With this in mind we have been approached by a former member and a current player (Charlie) to help with two animal charities: ARA in Loule and Guadi-Centro de Animals in VRSA.

In order to keep helping others we are asking members to make donations of cat and dog food, cat litter, etc. that we can distribute evenly between these two charities. We appreciate it is asking members to make a contribution but this will help us keep some of our funds back for future work, while also helping two excellent charities.

We have organised three places where we would ask members (or anyone else) to drop off their donations:

  • Olhão. Jonathan Syed will be at the car park of the Olhanense Stadium on Thursday 4th March 2–2.30 pm
  • Tavira. Nobby Clark will be Tavira municipal market car park on Thursday 4th March 11.30–12 noon (parked adjacent to the road with the boot up)
  • Cabanas. Charlie will be available at Rue Dom Jeronimo Osorio No 7.  2. C.   Conceicao Tavira 8800-082 on Thursday 4th March (please contact Charlie to confirm times if possible)

If any of these times do not suit some members please feel free to contact any of the three people mentioned (click on their name to email them) before Monday 8th March so that donations can be made.

We thank you for your continued support.
