Here is the latest Charity update from East Algarve Walking Football.
Len and Sandie Fry would like to say thank you to both EAWF and EAFC and everyone that has supported them.
Len and Sandie have cooked hearty meals from their home for up to 35 to 40 people and they hope everyone has enjoyed everything they have done and cooked. This week they will be cooking lamb (Borrego) kleftiko style in the Forno (oven). Lamb is a traditional Easter dish in Portugal. They will deliver the meals on Tuesday this week. Friday js a no meat day.
They will now be having a break after 10 weeks of work. Well done to you both.
Everything else is now slowing down, and we have stopped the animal food donations, but we would still encourage people to donate individually and Charlie and Penny are happy to accept donations on behalf of both the dog and cat sanctuaries.
We are currently taking stock of where we are financially, and so we will soon know how we can help those less fortunate moving forwards.
We would still encourage people to suggest what we should be doing with the funds we have, which will start to increase again once we start playing (hopefully in May).
Thanks to everyone for their support over the past year. You’ve made a huge difference to a lot of people during these very difficult times.
