During June and July, EAWF/EAFC donated €500 worth of food to the NAIC Association in Olhao.

NAIC is a charity organisation that provides a food bank service twice a month helping over 150 people.

The recipients of the food bags are in receipt of social benefits and the food bank is manned by volunteers and provides a vital service in the community with the numbers of families in need increasing as the cost of living continues to rise.

Besides donations, food is mainly sourced from an organised food bank in Faro that services a number of charities and the food is provided by supermarkets and suppliers. The charities exchange credits from recycled clothes and paper for the food.

This facility is equally experiencing increased demand and as a result the amount of food has reduced, which is why we have donated to this charity over the past couple of months.
