Christmas dinner tickets: payment needed

Thanks to everyone who has ordered tickets for the Xmas Dinner to be held on December 7th. Can we request that anyone who is still to pay for their tickets does so by Monday December 4th at the latest. Tickets will only be issued on payment. If you have a problem getting payment to us (i.e. you are in the UK or similar), please let Sue know by emailing her (click here).

Also, we are still asking for any old Xmas decorations you may have that you could donate, or if you have an artistic bent and would like to make some table decorations please get in touch with Sue on the email above. It would be nice to feel really festive on the night.

We thank you as always.

Movember update

Following our appeal for everyone to “grow a mo” for Prostate Cancer Awareness, we’ve decided to donate the subs received in the last week of November to a Prostate Cancer charity here in Portugal. Some of us will be growing moustaches and getting sponsorship to help swell the fund.

Joy Kennedy at the Black Anchor/Beira Ria Restaurant in Tavira is very kindly allowing us to hold a raffle on the occasion of their 10th Anniversary bash on the 11th November. We would be grateful for donation of prizes for the raffle and/or donations. Please let Chris Wright know.

We thank you as always

Running “normal” football session arranged for November 22nd

Following a good response to our question whether people would be interested in a “normal” running football session, we have arranged a session on Wednesday November 22nd at the usual venue in Tavira, from 9.30 am til 11.30 am. It is hoped that these sessions will then continue on a weekly basis if interest remains high.

All are welcome, so feel free to pop along and stretch those legs a bit.
