East Algarve Walking Football’s most senior player David Trueman celebrated his 80th birthday recently and to mark the occasion the EAWF family presented him with a commemorative bottle of port and a cake adorned with three football candles, one for each year he has been playing the game.
Last year Gordon Powell, a member of Walking Football Spain (Marbella) tragically lost his life after suffering a heart-attack whilst attending a tournament hosted by East Algarve Walking Football in Olhão.

Following on from the success of last years Mike Wreford Beach Party on Armona Island, we are doing it again!
All sessions at all venues will be FREE for the month of June as a thank you to you all for your loyalty and continuous support.
Finally the spring weather arrived, and a glorious sunny day welcomed the 16 teams to the Browns Walking Football Tournament, held in Vilamoura, on May 4th and 5th, 2018.
Due to the trip to Spain, the running session at Tavira on May 9th has been cancelled as numbers will be too small to make it worthwhile. Normal service will be resumed on Wednesday 16th. The calendar has been updated accordingly….
As we have the tournament this Friday and Saturday, the Wednesday session at Tavira this week (May 2nd) will be walking football (and not the usual running variety).
