The East Algarve Football Club charity work continues with a number of projects on the go helping the needy and vulnerable in the Algarve and further afield.
Following much discussion with many members surrounding the deteriorating conduct and aggressive style of play that has developed at Tuesday morning walking football sessions and Thursday morning running football sessions in Tavira, the Committee of EA Football Club has decided to promote and launch a walking football session on Thursday mornings at the Pavilhao Municipal in parallel with the current ‘running’ football session. Two pitches, one for running and one for walking.
Van man is back.
We have had a significant number of orders for the new jackets. We are therefore looking for additional sponsors to keep the cost per jacket as low as possible.

Last week, we answered an appeal from Eve Clifton for two families in need. We donated €50 of Auchan food vouchers for a single mother with 3 children.
For another single mother with 3 children, we purchased a new pair of trainers for her 6-year-old daughter who has learning difficulties.
On Thursday 27th March, Steve Johnson and Terry McGuinness collected various items of furniture and clothing donated by Pedro Trindade, Paul Johnson, Ian Shaw, Dave Sinclair and Angus Emery.
We have been asked a few times recently about player insurance. The club does not provide insurance for players and we would advise that anyone who wants to have insurance cover should take out a private policy for same. We will leave it up to the individual to decide on the cover they require.
Due to the Festival and holidays on Tuesday March 4th there will be no session at Tavira as the venue is closed. Pleased let everyone know.
