From next week (September 6th and ongoing) the Tuesday session will revert back to the normal location at the pitch next to the Eduardo Mansinho Sports Hall. If you haven’t yet completed the Leoes and Camara forms can you please see Paul Johnson next week at the latest.
The football pitch in Casével has hosted five games of walking football this year, with interest growing each session. The over 50s are still shy to come forward; however, we are gaining interest with three players in this category. The referee was Mike from the Olhão East Algarve Walking Football Team.
Following the success of the previous padel tournament at Pedras da Rainha we have arranged for another fun padel day, again at Pedras da Rainha in Cabanas. This event will be slightly different and specifically for players, family and friends associated with our football club.

We are sorry to inform you that June, wife of John Gallagher, passed away on Wednesday 20th July 2022 after a lengthy battle with cancer. John was a regular WF player in the early days at Olhão, and he and June were always good company at EAWF social events. When June’s diagnosis was confirmed they returned to the UK and took up residence in Portishead near Bristol. Our sincere condolences to John and the family at this very difficult time.
